Lake Days and Friends!

We have been jumping around visiting as many friends and family as possible during our time back. It's been quite the marathon but so fun and special.

"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live"
So we have been living.
{and will probably crash when we get home}.

We enjoyed a great lake day with childhood/forever friends. This group has been so supportive and encouraging during this past year. We are so thankful for them.

Jessica!

Can't wait for this group to come visit Az!
Ty made a quick appearance for the picture.

We must welcome baby Koda to the world. This is Lexie's new pup!

We spent Memorial Day with the Scotts

We are so thankful for Katie and Perry. Such wonderful friends!

It's been refreshing to be back in Alabama with great friends and family...and the color green.

Let The Summer Begin (almost)

We decided we needed to get out of the valley for a few days {with summer quickly approaching and tempts reaching the 90's}, so we packed up and went to Payson for the weekend. I highly recommend going to see the Natural Bridge, pictures do not do it justice.  And I'm pretty dang impressed with Andy for hiking all day with this baby pack. It is seriously not as easy as it looks. I've got to start training...  Raja clearly had the time of her life. {per usual} We are so excited that little man is big enough to ride in the baby pack! And I'm excited Andy is able to haul the baby pack.  Raja is just excited about dirt and water {mud}.  Happy Monday, everyone. Thanks for reading :)

Arizona Lessons in 3 Years

As of August, we have been official Arizonians for 3 years! Seems kind of crazy that it's been that long. We have all learned a lot about the west. So, in celebration of our 3 year Arizonniversary here are a few things Arizona has taught us... about survival.  1. Get up early. From about May-September if we want to run, hike, ride the horses, swim at the pool, really anything outdoors we are up the the flipping crack of dawn because any other time of the day is miserable. When it isn't the heat of the summer, the evenings are pretty decent. And when people say, "oh it's a dry heat out there though, so that's probably not so bad", I literally laugh out loud. Before we moved here people had told us the dry heat isn't so bad {you know who you are}. So we stupidly went out to the barn to clean stalls in 120 degrees. I thought the hot breeze was going to melt my eye balls. And then we were both sick with chills the rest of the day. Now, under 105 degrees,...

Ten Reasons To Be A Dog's Human

I have been Raja's human for almost two years now. She has taught me a lot in these two years of our pupship. Let me start with the day Raja came into our lives... Andy and I drove from Alabama to Pennsylvania to pick up our sweet little new best bud. I envisioned an adorable pup loving on me and sleeping all curled up in my lap for the whole 13 hour drive home... Well, I got the adorable pup part. She howled bloody murder most of the drive if she wasn't scratching my neck and arms or peeing on {and inside} my suit case. It was so fun. Reason #1. You become her everything.  I took this small baby away from everything she knew and expected her to immediately love and trust me. It just doesn't happen that way. I had to earn her love and her trust. The good thing about a pup is it happens pretty quickly. After those first few weeks of the infamous, horrible crate training {back when 5am was her favorite time of the day, ...
