I have always avoided chaos.
For the first time in my life I am truly thankful for chaos. I am so thankful to have my family, all their stuff, enough food for 5 people completely spread across the counter, loud movies echoing playing throughout the house at midnight, Raja eating horse hoof clippings given to her by Dylan and throwing up at 6am, five pairs of shoes tracking dust, hay and sand throughout the house, and the never-ending movie quotes. I guess what I'm trying to say is that a quiet, organized home is definitely overrated.
I don’t think I would have ever come to this conclusion if I hadn’t moved so far away from our families. It's amazing how moving away from family taught me to appreciate everything I’ve always avoided. I am so thankful for everything I am learning about myself from this move. I am thankful for life lessons I am learning every day. Don’t get me wrong, I love being alone with Andy- but it gets tough going 3-5 months without at least having dinner with our families. So rather than complaining about all the chaos this Thanksgiving, I'm going to enjoy my people.
That is all.
Dr. Calhoun?
I am thankful Andy wants to do life with me every day.
I am thankful Dylan rode Chief! Made my day.
And for extra help in the barn.
I am thankful for desert hiking with my people.
{Lastly, here is evidence that we like Lexie- supporting her games from afar.} I think it's safe to say she is thankful they won the
GSC Championship!
{Disclaimer- I have become lazy and all pictures were taken with my phone, rather than camera. I will redeem myself next blog.}
Have a great Thanksgiving, readers!
