A desert summer.

We moved into a new house this week!!! My family came out to help us move and of course we had to make some time for play.

We made the tough treck to Fossil Creek!
It was worth it.

I jumped off the little one. It was scary. I don't think I'll do it again.

On the last day we went to Apache Lake.

I forgot my camera so we don't have many documents of this trip, but it was very relaxing.

We are so thankful for their help. And for play time. And for our new house!!

I'm Feeling 22 : it's finally ALL about Dylan

Dylan Wade Calhoun D.O.B. 7 February 1994 Dylan is my best friend. He has been since I can remember. Of course we fought and still fight when he sleeps until 3pm and eats my snacks  from time to time. But I can always count on Dylan to be there for me. Because he's that kind of friend. I've learned over the years many people are blessed with siblings but very few are given a friend- one who has been there through it all, one who has seen every great and every embarrassing stage of life AND loves you anyway. "A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity". Proverbs 17:17  So in honor of Dylan being alive for 22 years,  here are 22 things about Dylan you may not know  And all reasons we love him. 1. Dylan is committed. When Dylan decides he is going to do something, he does it. He worked, and continues to work, his tail off {harder than anyone else} to play college baseball-because he is committed. He has completed intense workouts {...

Let The Summer Begin (almost)

We decided we needed to get out of the valley for a few days {with summer quickly approaching and tempts reaching the 90's}, so we packed up and went to Payson for the weekend. I highly recommend going to see the Natural Bridge, pictures do not do it justice.  And I'm pretty dang impressed with Andy for hiking all day with this baby pack. It is seriously not as easy as it looks. I've got to start training...  Raja clearly had the time of her life. {per usual} We are so excited that little man is big enough to ride in the baby pack! And I'm excited Andy is able to haul the baby pack.  Raja is just excited about dirt and water {mud}.  Happy Monday, everyone. Thanks for reading :)

Love.

"We make loving people a lot more complicated than Jesus did".  A quote from the new book from Bob Goff called "Everybody, Always". Jesus loved everyone and continues to love everyone. He tells us to love our enemies. He tells us if we do not have love, then we have NOTHING. I've always thought, 'well, it's a good thing I don't have any enemies. I'll just skip over that message'. But maybe He didn't just mean enemies {like Harry Potter and Voldemort or Darth Vader and Luke}, maybe he also meant people who are difficult, people we just really do not like, people that have different opinions than us. I'm just going to be honest, it's hard for me to love people. I mean, I truly love my group of friends, my family, and people who are pleasant to be around- but what about the people I try to avoid, people who are just plain rude, or negative, or have thoughts and opinions that I can never understand? I have to love them too...
